It’s been a week since my last update. Wow, how time flies when you’re on vacation and then DYING!! Ok, not really dying. But it was a blecky cold and I felt like crap, so that totally counts.
The SoCal vaca was totally awesome! Tuesday night, we got to see my uber-adorable neice Laney dance in her ballet recital. Total cuteness overload!! Of course, now Skye is clamoring for dance lessons too. I’ll be signing her up this week! Cause, I don’t have enough going on in my life! Maybe we’ll wait til Fall. Yeah, that’s the ticket!!
Disneyland was… yeah, you know I’m going there… MAGICAL!! Timing our visit between Memorial Day and the start of summer vacation was perfect! While the park wasn’t exactly empty, it was the lowest attendance that I’ve seen in years! Most line waits were less than 5 minutes. Finding Nemo was the exception. Still nearly an hour – hello, Disney, you have this FAB invention called the FastPass – PLEASE put it on your most popular rides!!! I’m sure they’ve got some kind of system for figuring out which rides this works with and which ones it doesn’t, but when the line regularly stretches out into ANOTHER PART OF THE PARK, it’s time to reconsider!
The highlight of our visit for Skye was meeting several of the Disney Princesses LIVE AND IN PERSON! OMG!! Santa Shmanta – Skye got to meet ARIEL, who she immediately asked “Where’s your Dad?” She was obsessed with knowing where King Triton was, I have no idea why! She had a long conversation with Snow White about Cars and Lightning McQueen – I wish my pictures had audio, it was hilarious! She had NO idea who Pocahontas was, but Skye humored her anyway. And she was rendered speechless when she saw Cinderella – I’m considering having her move in with us!
