The new year is off to a terrific start. I didn’t work today!! And the day wasn’t filled with family obligations either. I haven’t had a real day off since I took the kids to Tahoe back in June!
I slept in, checked my email in pjs while having a cup of tea and then went back to bed for a bit before finally getting up for the day. I took Sean and Skye to the movies using the gift card we received for Christmas (Bedtimes Stories – it’s a renter, save the ticket $$ for Inkheart later this month!)
Then we grabbed Jack in the Box on the way home (they’re the only FF place that offers a gluten-free chicken nugget option for Sean.) We snuggled in to watch movies and I did some crocheting (working on crossing #65 of my 101 in 1001 list.) Then I hopped on the elliptical and got my 90 minutes in for the day while watching disc 6 of Charmed Season 1. Excellent season ender!
Now I’m blogging – day 1 of 30 (#90) and here are a few pics of the littles and I in the car on the way back from the movies (#89).
An awesome start to a totally awesome year! Tomorrow I’m spending the day in Roseville. My sister and I are getting our window shopping on!
