No, not that kind of quickie. Just a brief posting from the heart of Disneyland… well, ok about three blocks away. At the Travelodge. Sean’s in the shower and I’m on-hold with the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney, waiting to talk to the chef. I’d love to take Sean there for lunch, a great ending to our little Disney excursion. But I want to know if he’ll actually be able to eat anything on the menu, or if they have any gluten-free off-menu selections. So many places do these days, but you have to know what to ask for. Too often the wait-staff is uninformed. Fingers crossed. I’ve been on hold for 10 minutes so far. But hey, chefs are busy people. And I’m more than willing to be patient. Besides, more blogging time, right?
Ok, just spoke with the chef (Maha? Sounds like something I’d order pan-seared! But she was lovely and so helpful, so thou wilt not mock!) And while their selections are pretty limited, I think Sean will love the experience. And hopefully the grilled chicken! I am disappointed that their fries come pre-seasoned (a seasoning with flour in it, no less!) I expect fresher food than that! Especially at those prices (but their fries ARE delish… ah, the irony!) She said they had chips though. So, we’ll see how things go. I can get a very very nice cocktail – and at 11:00 am. It’s going to be another magical day!

After holding for so long, I think an 11am cocktail is well deserved!
