Last Saturday, I packed up my three youngest (how many people get to say that!) and headed South… no, not that far south. Just down below SF, to my hometown of San Jose… well, almost to San Jose. San Jose adjacent, to be more specific. We were going to visit my childhood bestest friend forever (BFFS 4EVR!) Emily.
I’ve known Em since the 4th grade. I will not say how many years it’s been, most of our lives is sufficient! I think my favorite memory is our plan that if one of us were every going to run away, we would live in the other’s closet. Brilliant. However, looking back Em definitely had the better end of the deal. I had a walk-in closet and she had one of those little sliding door numbers! We had elaborate plans of how we would sneak food to each other. Hmmm… hey Em, still have room in your closet? I have my days…
Em and I got to catch up and chat away in the kitchen (so very very telling, no? But they do have the most beautiful, spacious kitchen. To be envied by all!!) Jon must be really used to Emily’s bunco nights cause he had no problem whatsoever keeping up with and participating in our conversation! Way to go, Jon! (Em, you’ve trained him well. My hat is off to you!!)

In case you didn’t notice, there’s an abundance of testosterone at the Cervinos. I’m afraid the pint-size Princess was woefully outnumbered! But being the youngest after three brothers, nothing much phases her. She can run with the wolves, my girl! And so, this is how my sweet little delicate flower ended up spending the next couple hours playing in a real live MAN-CAVE! And oh, did it live up to its name!
The Cervinos are getting ready to celebrate 15 years of wedded bliss (well, I think it’s more like 13 years of bliss. Those 2 years during the home remodel, probably not so much!) 15 years, 2 boys and one home-remodel. Nicely done, Cervinos! Nicely done!!

I love the pictures! I'm so glad you're back to blogging-I love keeping up with you and your kiddos!
