Sometimes I get a bit frustrated. I FINALLY got around to writing the commentary to go with these pictures and wordpress said “nope, sorry! not logged in” and when I went back Presto! Everything was gone. Well, I can’t be witty TWICE! So now this is going to suck. Awesome. You’ve been warned!
A couple of weekends ago, I packed the kids up and headed to Tahoe for a weekend at my parents’ vacation home. My little bro Ryan was already up there with his wifey and kiddoes, enjoying the slopes.
I’d been promising the kids for a couple of years a while that I’d take them up to visit the snow. I spent a decade enduring Northern Utah’s winters and when I left, I vowed never again to live in the land that warmth forgot! Snow is something to go and see, and then go back home. Like animals at the zoo. Pretty in pictures, not so much in the backyard! This weekend just reaffirmed that I’m definitely right about this one!
Ryan and Kristi made everyone blueberry pancakes for breakfast! Definitely why they’re my favorites!! I brought Van’s GF waffles for me and Sean. Mmmmm…. waffles!!
Jason modeling winter wear, California teenage boy style.
This is the front yard, the idea sledding slopes for the little kids. The teenagers headed for some bigger hills just around the bend to get some snowboarding in.
I took all these pictures in my pjs and barefeet! Does it get any better?!
When Cali, Jason and Tad were toddlers, this second story open loft used to give me heart palpitations. I was just positive one of my babies was going to plummet to their little death. Graphic, I know. That’s just the kind of girl I am!
The little kids had SO much fun playing games like Red Light, Green Light, Mother May I and Simon Says. I miss being 5!
Laundry tubs = transportation. Duh!
Steve Young jersey, sweatpants, baseball hat and no makeup. My vacation wear. Comfort Comfort Comfort!
Sunday was spent watching a Kell on Earth marathon on Bravo, the perfect precursor to the Oscars that night!
Snuggling with my kiddies watching the glamorous stars on the red carpet.
The perfect end to the perfect weekend!

Wonderful! My husband wants to go to Tahoe so badly, and now I can see why. It looks like a wonderful time.
Snuggling with kids and fun!
