One the third day, we were joined by my brother Ryan and his kids, Laney and Myles. It was a great end to an awesome vacation. I think the picture speak for themselves!

Making Magic – Day II

9:00 am – California Adventures awaits We traveled 7 hours and over 300 miles to take a picture in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. Skye’s favorite ride. Interestingly, the Haunted Mansion frightens her. Gettin’ buggy with it. I apologize. At this point, we’d only been in line 10 minutes. Giant talkin’ Mr. Potato Head. [...]

Wednesday, 4 am. Disneyland or Bust!! 7 hours later. Mouse ears – check! First ride of the day – the Tram! Why, you are welcome, Mickey! Thanks for having us! Haunted Mansion, my favorite ride! Even when it’s not Jack Skellington/holiday-style. ARGH – mouse-style! Look out, Cap’n Jack! Why walk, when you can take the [...]

In just a few hours, the littles and I (along with my mom) are heading out for the Happiest Place on Earth. I’ll post updates as I can, but I have a feeling I’ll be pretty wiped out at the end of each day. I’ll do a big one when we get back Saturday night. [...]
A little hump day quickie

No, not that kind of quickie. Just a brief posting from the heart of Disneyland… well, ok about three blocks away. At the Travelodge. Sean’s in the shower and I’m on-hold with the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney, waiting to talk to the chef. I’d love to take Sean there for lunch, a great ending [...]
Just call him Wheezy

Poor Sean. An innocent afternoon of swimming in the grandparents’ pool turned into a trip to Urgent Care and a full round of steroids. Somehow, an hour in the pool triggered an asthma attack, the likes of which he hasn’t had in nearly 18 months. His doctor thinks that the pool chemicals have something to [...]

We’ll be “on the road again… I just can’t wait to get on the road again…” My parents used to sing that at the start of every freakin’ vacation I can remember taking as a child. And now… I do too! My mom, my sister and I are taking my little Skye McKenna to Disneyland [...]
Around the world and back in five days

“I just flew in from Hong Kong, and boy are my arms tired!” Ba-dum-dum! I spent almost as much time on the plane as I did there, 14 hours going and 12 coming back. I was only in Hong Kong for 3 days, well, 3 and a half. But that half day is spent packing, [...]
Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D movie review

I’ll start by saying right now that I saw this movie in IMAX 3D and that is the ONLY way to see this movie. It is made to be viewed in this format. I’ve seen many movies in 3D and this is the best one to-date. I can’t imagine it any other way. Now, you [...]
